Conceived as another facet of Tse Tse Fly Middle East’s intent to provide an antidote to the commercial art and music environment in Dubai, the set highlights the progressive - and transgressive - crusade that underscores the singular nature of Tse Tse Fly Middle East’s achievements.

Jonny Farrow’s track Android Sea Chanty was created using a self-playing patch on the wall-sized EMU modular synthesizer in Chicago’s School of the Art Institute. Visqueen’s track is a cover version of the theme song from the 1960s German/Yugoslavian TV show Ferien in Lipizza, while Kumah’s Elsidi is a cyclic meditation on the elusive memories of empathy and its decay. Karim Sultan’s City From Memory / Interior and Aerial View 2 underscores his uncanny ability to conjure the notions and emotions evoked by departure, travel and arrival.

Isaac Sullivan’s 'Approach and Retreat' appears under the pseudonym Nightmares from Fabric, and is a future disco narrated Utopian night trip, while his collaborative track with Nour Sokhon (Mercury also under the name Nightmares from Fabric) pits the digital against the organic. Nour’s own Continuum continues her own reflections on the labyrinthine workings of the mind, and Hasan Hujairi’s Rondo Alla Dilmuna (or The Future History of Red Dogs) follows his acclaimed Symphonies of the Self project that celebrated the late Bahraini classical music composer Majeed Marhoon.
